Gardens of Remembrance is a voyage of discovery into our common and inescapable past. Exploring abandoned, overgrown, faded, impoverished and ?yes? unprosperous graveyards from olden times. Documenting the remaining beauty and grotesque nature of those decayed memories in a modern yet personal demeanour. In four chapters, namely: ?Sepia shades?, ?In the shadows?, ?Transitional? and ?Vividus?, I try to portray the sentiment of those abandoned places by experimenting, playing around with light/perspective/depth and ?of course? the amount of ?dark aesthetic?. This tome marks the first of a series where I try to record European cemeteries that gloriously embraced the test of time. This book covers ancient burial grounds of Belgium, the Netherlands, France, and Germany. Possible future releases will cover both the same as many more territories.
